The trade turnover between Poland and Zambia went up by 11% year to year in 2014. Issues related to the increase of the strengthening the economic cooperation as well as defining the most promising sectors for Polish and Zambian business cooperation were discussed by ambassador of Zambia Bwaly S.K. Chiti and PAIiIZ president Sławomir Majman.

According to ambassador Chiti, agri-food and machinery industries are the most prospective sectors of Poland – Zambian cooperation. Both sides agreed that also mining, construction - especially in real estate and infrastructure segments - are among the top priority areas of mutual business relations.

As it was stated by PAIiIZ president Sławomir Majman, there is a growing interest among Polish business in Zambian market. To proved it he mentioned the trade missions arranged by Polish government to Africa that are very popular among Polish companies. At the end of June 2015, the mission to Malawi and Zambia is planned. It will be arranged by National Chamber of Commerce (KIG). Under the project, attendees will take part in multi-sector trade fairs in Ndola in Zambian.

Since recently, PAIiIZ has arranged two missions to Zambia – the first one in 2013 that was headed by Polish prime minister Donald Tusk and the second in 2014.
