According to the CSO data for seven months of 2015 Polish-Algerian trade turnover amounted to 251.9 million dollars., including Polish exports - 222.7 million dollars, while imports - 29.3 million dollars. In trade between the Polish and Algeria for years dominated our exports. In 2014., as in previous years, the most important item of its food products (approx. 282 million dollars.).
The structure of exports to Algeria in 2014 Major commodity groups were products of animal origin (mainly. Milk powder, cheese and curd) - 188 million dollars. 28 per cent. share in Polish exports; transport (helicopters, passenger cars and commercial vehicles, spare parts) - 173.5 million dollars. 26 per cent. participation; mechanical and electrical equipment (motors, turbines, office. Crane, apparatus for line telephony, equipment, cables, wires) - 90 million dollars. 13 per cent. participation; products of vegetable origin (mainly. wheat, barley) - 63 million dollars., 9 percent. share. Algeria also wywozimy chemical products (reagents, soda) - 41 million dollars., 6 percent. participation and mineral products (coke and semi-coke) - 36 million dollars., 5 percent. share. Also exported large quantities of food (mainly. Cereals, sugar, chocolate) - for $ 31.5 million.
Imports from Algeria was dominated by one position - calcium phosphates (56 million USD., More than 96 per cent. Share in our total imports).
Recognizing the importance of Algeria and the high potential of bilateral economic cooperation the Ministry of Economy in 2012 took the decision to include Algeria to group 5 selected the most promising for us non-European markets (alongside Brazil, Canada, Kazakhstan and Turkey), which was tantamount to entering her 3-year comprehensive program for generic promotion.
In 2013-2014 within the framework of the project the system was organized, among others, 11 Polish appearances at fairs and exhibitions in Algeria, several missions-arrival and exit, and 11 thematic conferences.
