In the Republic of Senegal, Polish delegation had the opportunity to visit such institutions as the Senegalese Agency of Industrial Property and Innovation Technology (ASPIT), APIX investment Agency as well the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and EU office in Senegal.
Representing such sectors as food, machinery, construction, green technologies and finances, thirteen Polish companies participating in the mission, took part in the B2B session with local business that was preceded by “How to do business in Senegal” work-shop. During the meeting, PAIiIZ expert Barłomiej Lewandowski provided Senegalese companies with information regarding Go Africa programme and economic situation of Poland. Also business opportunities of Senegal as well as benefits of joining the EU investment projects in Senegal were presented there.
A visit a phosphate mine owned by a Polish company Grupa Azoty was also one of the highlight of the mission. Mined raw materials are used by Grupa Azoty in its Polish factory in Police to produce titanium dioxide.
