Chinese institutions to finance investments in Poland

Investment projects were the main topic of the meeting of PAIiIZ president Sławomir Majman with Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank (AIIB), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and Export-Import Bank of China in Bejin.

Investing $831m, Poland joined the exclusive group of 57 countries and member - founders of the AIIB Bank. Participation in this international initiative fits in with the economic plan of the minister Morawiecki, said PAIiIZ president Sławomir Majman during a conversation with the president of AIIB Jin Liqun.

 

“Polish companies are interested in taking part in infrastructural tenders and exporting products to Middle East, Central Asia and ASEAN region”, Majman added. During the meeting ICBC CEO, Zhang Hongli stressed that his institution is interested in co-financing of the first techno-park in Poland prepared to Chinese investments.

 

Moreover, soon EXIM Bank will announce a second round of financing by CEE Equity Fund of $ 1 million. It will be open to Polish authorities and financial institutions. It is worth to note that already 6 of 9 projects financed by CEE Equity Fund has been located in Poland.
