Since the early 70s, it has been the first visit of the representative of the Republic of the Sudan, with the rank of Minister, to Poland.
During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between Poland and Sudan, in particular the issues of access of Polish agri-food products to the Sudanese market as well as the possibilities of enlarging the Polish export product range to the Republic of the Sudan.
When presenting the existing, international achievements of the Polish agri-food sector, Deputy Minister Romanowski expressed his belief in the great potential for the development of bilateral relations in the field of agriculture.
Minister Ibrahim Ahmad Abd al-Aziz Ghandour mentioned the areas, prospective from the point of view of developing the Polish-Sudanese business relationships, such as, e.g. the import of Polish agricultural products and the issues related to modernisation of Sudanese agriculture and agricultural processing using Polish agricultural equipment and in cooperation with Polish partners. He invited to visit Sudan so as to get familiar with the functioning of Sudanese agriculture and the food industry. He stressed that it was important that the Polish export offer be adapted to the needs of the Sudanese businessmen and Sudanese consumers.
