They discussed the prospects for cooperation development, mostly the matter of admitting Polish agri-food products to the South African market, as well as the possibilities of extending the spectrum of Polish exported products.
Minister K. Jurgiel expressed his interest in swift completion of the procedure to admit poultry and pork to the South African market. Moreover, the Minister requested specific phytosanitary requirements and pointed out the values of Polish products. In this context, he presented the cereals supply potential to the South African party.
Minister K. Jurgiel expressed his opinion that mutual relations with regard to agriculture offered great development potential. He also informed about the planned participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Africa’s Big 7 fairs to be held in June 2016 in Johannesburg, as well as about the organisation of the Polish stand and the mission of Polish agri-food producers.
Polish Minister of Agriculture invited his South African counterpart to visit Poland.
