Currently, in the territory of the PRC several campaigns to promote Polish food are carried out, coordinated by industry associations. They are also present at this year’s edition of the SIAL China 2016 fair. In addition to the contribution to the building of the Polish brand by participating in the national stand, press conferences of the individual campaigns are also organised, they are addressed to the representatives of Chinese media and business.
Minister Krzysztof Jurgiel stayed in Shanghai as part of the official visit to the PRC, participated in two conferences: „Bicolored Apples from Europe”, organised by the „Fruit Union” Association and „European Flavours – Quality and Tradition”, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce.
The Minister thanked the Chinese visitors for coming and for interest in Polish food products. He stressed that he attached great importance to cooperation between our country and the Chinese partners. He was particularly interested in actions aimed at facilitating trade and obtaining access of the wider range of Polish products to the Chinese market.
The Minister said that during his stay in Beijing and Shanghai he had had an opportunity to find out how delicious and rich Chinese cuisine was. He also added that he hoped that Polish culinary art would also find many enthusiasts in China and that Polish flavours which are an integral part of our culture, would encourage them to further explore Poland.
